AuzSkin provides consultations about cosmetic and facial ageing concerns at four Queensland clinics: Hope Island and Chevron Island on the Gold Coast, Paddington in Brisbane, and Regents Park in Logan.
Every enquiry starts the same way. You come in, we talk about what is bothering you, and a registered practitioner assesses whether anything we offer is suitable for you. Depending on that assessment, we will explain what your options are, what each one involves, what the risks are, and what it is reasonable to expect.
Some people leave with a plan. Some people are told that what they are asking about is not appropriate for them. Both are legitimate outcomes of a consultation.We do not treat on the first visit without assessment, and we do not recommend a procedure to anyone who does not need one.
Our practitioners can consult on the concerns below. Whether any treatment is available or suitable for you is determined at the consultation, and some concerns may be better addressed by a service we do not provide, or by no treatment at all.
We can assess lines and creases in areas such as the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes, and discuss whether any of the options available at our clinic may be appropriate for you.
Facial volume changes as we age. We can assess areas where you have noticed change, such as the cheeks or the mid-face, and talk through whether anything we offer is suitable.
We can assess skin looseness and loss of firmness in the face and jawline area, and discuss the range of approaches that may be relevant, including options that do not involve injections.
We can assess fullness in the area beneath the chin and discuss whether you may be a suitable candidate for anything we offer, or whether another approach would be more appropriate.
We can assess the shape and contour of the nose and discuss non-surgical options. This area carries specific anatomical risks, and suitability is assessed carefully before anything is recommended.

We ask what has brought you in, what you have noticed, and what you are hoping to change. We also ask about your medical history, medications, allergies and any previous cosmetic procedures.
Your practitioner examines the relevant area and assesses your facial anatomy and skin. This determines whether anything we offer is clinically suitable for you.
If something is suitable, we explain what it involves, what the risks and possible complications are, what recovery looks like, what it will cost, and what a realistic outcome would be. If nothing we offer is suitable, we say so.
You are not asked to commit during the consultation. You are given the information and the time to think about it. If you decide to proceed, consent is obtained separately before any procedure.

Devices and equipment used at our clinics are included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods and are used in line with manufacturer guidance and relevant clinical standards.
AuzSkin is a medical skin clinic. Our cosmetic services sit alongside our skin cancer service, and a practitioner assessing your face can also raise anything they notice about your skin health.
Not every concern is best addressed with a cosmetic procedure. Depending on what you are looking for, one of these may be more appropriate, and we can discuss it at your consultation.
Yes. A consultation and clinical assessment by a registered practitioner is required before any cosmetic procedure at AuzSkin. The consultation determines whether anything we offer is suitable for you.
Your practitioner discusses your concerns and medical history, assesses the relevant area, and explains what options may be suitable, what they involve, the risks, recovery and cost. You are given time to consider before deciding anything.

Cosmetic procedures are generally not eligible for a Medicare rebate. Where a consultation addresses a medical rather than cosmetic concern, different arrangements may apply. Our team can explain what applies to your appointment.
These services are provided to adults aged 18 and over.
Yes. If your practitioner assesses that a procedure is not clinically appropriate for you, they will tell you and explain why. Being told no is a normal outcome of a consultation.
